Dr. Ming-Chih Lin received his MD degree from National Yang-Ming University and his Ph.D. degree from National Taiwan University. He is now an associate professor of the Department of Post‐Baccalaureate Medicine, College of Medicine, National Chung Hsing University, Taichung, Taiwan. He is also the director of the Children’s Medical Center in Taichung Veterans General Hospital.

After finishing his military service as a second lieutenant in the Marine Corps of Taiwan, he received residency training in Taichung Veterans General Hospital (TCVGH), Taichung, Taiwan. He finished both neonatology and cardiology fellowship in TCVGH.

His research career began at the National Taiwan University College of Public Health in 2002. His research area is pediatric cardiology, interventional cardiology, arrhythmia, neonatology, epidemiology, critical care, clinical epidemiology, pharmacoepidemiology, and claims data analysis.

He has been the winner of the Taiwan Pediatric Association Mead Johnson Resident Research Award in 2003, the Research Award of Taiwan Neonatology Society in 2005, the best oral presentation of Taiwan Neonatology Society annual conference in 2012, the championship of the 2012 TSCI autumn case competition, 2014 Taiwan Transcatheter Therapeutics (TTT 2014) Case Competition, 2015 Taiwan Transcatheter Therapeutics (TTT 2015) Case Competition, and the best clinical case award of the pediatric and adult interventional cardiac symposium, Asia-Pacific (PICS-AICS AP) in 2015, Symbol of National Quality (SNQ) in, Neonatal Developmental Care Team, Silver Medal in 2015, Good Physician of Veterans Affairs Council of Taiwan in 2016, and highly citation award of Taiwan Pediatric Association in 2021.
