2. To train students to write short English essays coherently and fluently.
3. Students are required to present their essays in peer review sessions of three and revise their essays according to their reviewer’s comments. If they do not agree, they should respond in writing on the peer-review sheets.
Week 1 2/16 Last semester’s final sample writing; WA1: Based on the following thesis, write an essay of at least 250 words. Thesis: One can tell much about people by the way they eat [or dress, talk, react to crises, relate to their family and friends]. (P. 113, topic 15). The focus will be on giving the right examples to illustrate the thesis. And please follow the format. (Due 2/23); reading “The Jacket”
